The Big Bazooka is the codename for this project, and has 3 phases.
| PHASE ONE: COLLECTION -- Current Phase
Using this online writing space that belongs to you, me and everyone else, we can all share our knowledge, contacts, useful ideas and criticism towards content that is PRACTICAL, USEFUL and EFFECTIVE for Malaysians who are interested in creating music. We trust YOU to help build on the knowledgebase here by proofreading it for usefulness, adding content, improving on content, and suggesting content. |
PHASE TWO: TRANSLATION
Once we have collected yours and others' information, we will extract the best bits out (like juicing an orange), translate it to BM (lets not forget about our humble National Language) and compile it into a paper-efficient, easily photocopied booklet.
PHASE THREE: DISTRIBUTION
The digital version of the booklet will be emailed to any Jam Studio, music shop, and instrument retailer in Malaysia, with a section of the FRONT PAGE to put their own advertisement. They can then photocopy as many booklets as they like and give to their customers.
The online version will always be up, and this writing space will always be continuously improved on, perhaps, for a version 2?
OUTCOMES
The booklet will urge readers to visit the website, connect the readers, writers and anyone else interested in Malaysian Music. And because we are doing it together, EVERYONE in the know, from experts, industry insiders, music veterans, but more importantly, the everyday YOU AND ME... the guide will not be a top-down bag of theory... but a collection of REAL JUICE, the good stuff that has been tried, tested, and known to work!
When all Malaysians share the know-how and contacts, everyone benefits, and the future of our scene will see REAL Malaysian talent take things to the next level.
